Josue Mateo Selected SoCal Premier League U.S. Army Player of the Week

LA MIRADA, CA (January 22, 2025) – Medallo City FC midfielder Josue Mateo has been selected SWPL Player of the Week.

Mateo had two goals and an assist as Medallo City FC over FC United Kingdom in a SoCal Premier League match at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, CA, on Saturday, Jan. 18.

A native of Honduras with experience in the Honduran professional second division, Mateo was a first team all-SoCal Premier League Best XI selection for the 23/24 season. He has 13 goals and four assists in league play this season.

U.S. Army is the exclusive sponsor of the SoCal Premier League Player of the Week. The SoCal Premier League Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
