SWPL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Familia FCs Matteo Loi

LA MIRADA, CA (November 6, 2024) – La Familia FC midfielder Matteo Loi has been selected SWPL Player of the Week.

Loi scored three goals and had an assist as La Familia FC defeated AMSG Elite 5-2 in a SoCal Premier League 1st Division match at Los Angeles City College in Los Angeles, CA, on Sunday, Nov. 3.

A native of Kirkland, WA, Loi was an all-league selection at Lake Washington High School. He previously played at Whittier College (NCAA) and was selected the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Newcomer of the Year in 2018.

The SWPL Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
